Hi there, Explorers! We hope you’re all having a great time in Core Keeper and that you’re enjoying all the new content, features, and secrets in the underground.

One, progression is probably slower when playing solo. When you're in a group, different players can specialize in different skill trees, and advance quicker in those. I've played for about 50 hours now and I've barely reached the third tier (of four) in many skill trees.

A tua missãeste em Core Keeper é simples: minere recursos preciosos da caverna e encontre artefatos antigos, tudo isso enquanto enfrenta inimigos que derrubam materiais para ajudar na criaçãeste de novos produtos.

Overcoming the bosses requires a keen sense of strategy, so strengthen your character with purpose or suffer a swift end to your journey.

Absolutely. I've been playing solo for my entire playthrough and generally found the challenge level manageable, and the gameplay enjoyable.

1. Combat exp gain - It works the same as in Skyrim, so each hit gives 1 exp, and this system was flowed in that game as it is in this game. The game punishes the player for playing with slower weapons that deal more damage, and also punishes them for just getting stronger, which is bizzare. This system also makes some classes way less enjoyable to play than others, where Ranged can easily get to max level as they get massive amounts of exp from souls and just their weapons being quite fast, meanwhile a class like Magic is absolutely shafted as they have very slow attacks that deal a lot of damage, while also requiring the use of mana to even be able to deal the damage.

Each of these fights are somewhat tougher than Ghorm and will require specific strategies in order for you to win; consult our guides on fighting Ghorm and Malugaz for some helpful tips!

Depending on the hardware model you own and your use of it, an additional storage device may be required to download content from Nintendo eShop. Please visit our Support section for more information.

2. There are basically 2 classes in this game at this point, Melee and Ranged, because Magic and Summoner are barely playable - Magic is not the worst, but they can only get 1 weapon crafted, from what I've seen. Where every other weapon is an RNG drop, and makes it really difficult to get them as you wont be able to get stronger with easy to get gear. Summoner is absolutely painful to play as a class.

With Glurch dead, it's time to move on to Ghorm and Malugaz. You can find the locations for them by crafting their respective Scanners at the Glurch statue near the Core. Each of these two bosses requires different strategies to fight them.

Spirit Merchant (technically traded). Each of these marks the exact location of an outer biome boss spawn. Each scanner recipe uses a resource unique to the boss's biome. Either found on the ground or as a mob drop.

Right away, use the basic crafting available to you in your pack menu to make some torches, a pickaxe, and the workbench. Everything else can wait for a bit, since you’ll need a few other key items and upgrades before you go much further.

The survival game genre often relies on repetition to pad out game time. You find a copper pickaxe to mine iron, tin pickaxe to mine iron, iron pickaxe to mine [the next best thing] and so on. Core keeper does the same, and while I wouldn't criticize it for just doing this, it's something I have to mention given that none of the other progressions feel meaningful either. A large reason for why terraria works is that when you come across a Core Keeper Gameplay chest with an item, that item will likely modify how you play the game mechanically.
